Job description

Active Secret Clearance Required Position Overview We are seeking an Electronics Maintenance Technician II to support undersea tracking range operations at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) in Keyport, WA. This position provides hands-on technical support for electronic, acoustic, electro-mechanical, and electro-hydraulic range systems supporting fleet validation, verification, and shipboard testing operations. This role is ideal for a technician with strong bench-level electronics repair experience, including cable repair, soldering, and circuit board testing. Key Responsibilities Operate and maintain undersea tracking range support systems.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electronic, acoustic, video, mechanical, and electro-hydraulic systems.
Troubleshoot and repair electronic assemblies, including circuit cards/boards and cabling.
Perform cable repair and fabrication as required.
Conduct soldering and board-level troubleshooting.
Verify systems operability and document all maintenance actions.
Maintain weekly Operations & Maintenance Logs and provide monthly failure trend analysis reports.
Backup system software and perform upgrades for range systems.
Provide dockside and underway shipboard technical support for Fleet Validation/Verification and Range Test events.
Support communications/radio equipment as needed (EKMS training provided).
Assist in parts research using Government databases.
Support design, development, fabrication, and assembly of test equipment and components.
Provide extended technical support in alignment with range schedules.
Required Qualifications Active Secret Clearance
Minimum 2 years of relevant electronics maintenance experience
Experience with:
Cable repair and fabrication
Soldering (hand soldering / component-level)
Testing and troubleshooting circuit cards/boards (PCB)
Electronic system maintenance and repair
Ability to document maintenance actions and generate reports
Comfortable working 100% on-site in a technical environment
Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting Navy or DoD range systems
Shipboard electronics experience
Experience with acoustic or sonar systems
Familiarity with electro-hydraulic systems
Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, or other electronic test equipment
Prior EKMS/COMSEC exposure
Work Environment 100% on-site in Keyport, WA
Hands-on technical environment
May require dockside and underway shipboard support
Extended hours as needed to support range schedules
