About the Role

DT-Trak Consulting is seeking licensed Dental Hygienists for a one-year federal contract with the White Earth Service Unit of the Indian Health Service in northern Minnesota. You will provide preventive dental hygiene services to American Indian patients of all ages across three clinic locations, working under the general supervision of staff dentists. Patient volume is 8–10 patients per 8-hour shift. All dental equipment and supplies are government-furnished.

Pine Point Clinic — 47520 Mashkiki St, Ponsford, MN 56575

Responsibilities

Provide routine dental cleanings for children, adults, and elderly patients

Plan, coordinate, and evaluate preventive oral health programs for diverse patient groups

Administer local anesthesia under direct dentist supervision

Perform root planing, sealant application, and caries prevention treatments

Record medical/dental histories and develop patient treatment plans

Document all services in EHR (Dentrix) and maintain HIPAA compliance

Educate patients on home care therapy and diet as it relates to oral health

Required Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygienist program in the United States

Active, unrestricted dental hygienist license in any U.S. state

Current BLS certification

Continuing education documentation current

U.S. citizen or meeting applicable federal requirements

Must pass federal background check (fingerprinting required within 7 days of award)

Negative TB screening within the past 365 days; IHS immunization policy compliance

Proficiency with computers and electronic medical records; Dentrix experience a plus

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with Native American patients

Experience serving patients of all ages including pediatric and geriatric

Prior work at the White Earth Service Unit

Schedule Details

Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–4:30 pm (8-hour shifts, 30-min unpaid break)

11 federal holidays observed; facility closures are unpaid

Overtime not authorized under base contract terms

Uniform provided by clinician; all dental equipment and supplies furnished by IHS
