Education/Certification:

 
  • Current enrolled CCISD High School CTE student
 

Special Knowledge/Skills:

 
  • Experience in a combination of hardware repair, social media, writing, web design, engineering, production equipment, productivity applications and educational apps.
  • Passion for learning and demonstrating new technologies to others.
  • Technology skills for record keeping and productivity applications.
  • Works and relates positively with others. Communicates effectively in oral and written forms.
 


Function

 

To provide quality and timely technology support to Corpus Christi ISD faculty, staff, students.

 

Student Technicians will be expected to perform various duties primarily with an area of concentration:

 
  • Hardware repair
  • Operating Systems
  • Software applications and apps - Office365, and iPad apps.
  • Networking
 


Reports To:

 

Senior Technology Support Administrator

 


Responsibilities:

 
  • Provide technical assistance and support for related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
  • Respond to questions either in person or over the phone.
  • Train computer users
  • Respond to email messages for customers seeking help
  • Walk customer through problem-solving process
  • Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software
  • Clean up and refurbish computers
  • Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems
  • Install computer peripherals for users
  • Follow up with customers to ensure issue has been resolved
  • Gain feedback from customers about computer usage
  • Run reports to determine malfunctions that continue to occur.
 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

 
  • Mental and Physical Demands/Environmental factors:
  • Conditions associated with installing and configuring computer networks.  Lifting, moving, bending, kneeling, and crawling are frequently required. 
  • Ability to maintain emotional control under stress.
  • prolonged and irregular hours.
