Your Role on the Team
Position Summary:

The Sleep Technician Trainee develops competency in and performs a variety of sleep studies to assist in the diagnosis of the type and extent of sleep disorders. The Sleep Technician Trainee works under the direct supervision of a sleep technician or technologist, lead technologist in collaboration with the Manager and Medical Director.


What It Takes to be Successful
Required Qualifications:
  • RPSGT eligible and obtained within 12 months of hire within the clinic.
  • Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
  • Minimum 6 months experience working in a direct patient care position
  • Medical Board of California Polysomnographic Trainee license within 6 months of
  • High school diploma/ GED
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Computer skills appropriate to the job
  • Clinical experience
  • BLS Required
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

    • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
  • Experience in an accredited sleep center
  • Enrolled in or recent graduate of CAAHEP CoA-PSG program
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • Associate degree
  • 1 year of experience as a sleep technician
