About This Role

We're seeking a part-time afternoon Teacher Assistant to join our team at Lov N Care Children's Academy. This role offers competitive pay based on registry level and experience. You'll be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of our curriculum, managing day-to-day classroom operations, and ensuring a safe and engaging environment for our children.


What You'll Do
  • Aid teachers in preparing lessons by gathering materials and equipment
  • Develop positive relationships with students and families
  • Assist in enforcing classroom rules and teaching social skills
  • Help record student progress and maintain accurate attendance records
  • Transport children safely to specific locations
  • Complete yearly driver training
  • Provide personal care and support as needed to students
  • Support lead teachers in reviewing learning material with students
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic classroom environment

Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
  • Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
  • Must pass yearly driver training
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
