About This RoleThe Teacher Assistant plays a vital role in our center, supporting Teachers and the Director in creating a nurturing environment for our young learners. They work collaboratively with others to develop positive relationships with children and their families. Observing and documenting children's interests and progress is also a key responsibility, with the goal of enhancing the overall care and quality of education.
Working with our energetic and curious children aged 1 to 5 years old, our Teacher Assistants are responsible for implementing engaging activities based on their interests and needs, all while ensuring a safe and healthy environment.
What You'll Do- Support the development of engaging curricula activities, encouraging participation from all children.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, ensuring all materials are available and easily accessible.
- Establish open lines of communication with parents through regular discussions and progress updates.
- Model good hygiene and self-help skills to promote healthy habits in our children.
- Ensure a seamless transition for children from home to our child care center each day.
- Comply with all center policies and state regulations.
- Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and maintain high-quality care.
Requirements- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional child care experience.
- High energy levels are essential for this role.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills are necessary.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as basic computer proficiency.
- An understanding of child development principles.
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required.
- Current Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
- Must pass a full background check and health screening.
