Torch Technologies is seeking a Computer Systems Administrator/Network Administrator to join a team to assist the 36th Electronic Warfare Squadron, 350th Spectrum Warfare Wing (350 SWW), at Eglin AFB, Florida. The 350 SWW is the technical focal point for all electronic warfare (EW) support of warfighter systems for the Combat Air Forces (CAF). The mission of the 350 SWW is to develop and test mission data (MD) to defeat enemy radar and infrared guided missile systems, thus enhancing aircrew and aircraft survivability in combat. This mission includes operational EW testing, MD development/validation/verification, force development evaluation execution and facilitating foreign materiel exploitation.

As aComputer Systems Administrator/Network Administrator your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:

  • The successful candidate will serve as an Information Technology (IT) specialist responsible for assistance in the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the unit's computer networks and to provide technical assistance, training, and support to customers.

  • Apply computer hardware and software expertise to establish and maintain Government program specific information technology (IT) capability in accordance with Government instructions, policies and procedures

  • Serve as the first point of contact for resolving or escalating issues relating to hardware, software, network, and other issues of computer end users

  • Responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software and will respond to queries, runs diagnostics, isolates problem, and determines and implements solution

  • Office setting that includes sedentary physical effort.However, may include lifting of weight up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary

  • Will be required to perform COMSEC duties

Job Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship

  • Must have a High School Diploma plus 6 years of applicable experience or an Associate's degree with 4 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline to meet education requirement.

  • Must have a Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance within 9 months of job start, due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements.

  • Required to have the proper and current information assurance certification to perform information assurance functions in accordance with DoW 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program (Security +)

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity/proficiency with COMSEC Manager duties; Cisco network principles, concepts, equipment and tools sufficient to assist in planning and maintaining network services; network standards and equipment sufficient to install, configure, and troubleshoot components such as Cisco routers / switches, and servers; information technology hardware and software products especially Linux /RHEL, as well as, computer peripherals (e.g. printers, monitors, hard drives, docking stations, scanners, etc.); customer service support skills; customer training to include demonstrations of hardware/software; documentation development; database development, design, implementation, and maintenance; network operations and administration; application development, design and implementation;document scanning and retrieval; and telecommunications implementation and training (VTC, telephone, voice mail)

  • A Top Secret clearance is preferable.
