Job description

โ€ข Provide strategic leadership, operational oversight, and technical direction for enterprise network and telecommunications infrastructure
โ€ข Lead network and telecommunications engineers responsible for planning, design, implementation, project management, and lifecycle management of complex solutions
โ€ข Support infrastructure across 200+ ambulatory, administrative, and clinical locations, including 16 hospitals
โ€ข Support newly constructed facilities, growth initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, and infrastructure modernization efforts
โ€ข Establish strategic technology direction for enterprise connectivity, network services, telecommunications platforms, and operational processes
โ€ข Evaluate emerging technologies and develop long-term infrastructure roadmaps
โ€ข Oversee complex, multi-year initiatives supporting patient care, clinical operations, and business objectives
โ€ข Lead architecture governance, vendor management, capital planning, budgeting, project portfolio management, and IT service management processes
โ€ข Partner with clinical, operational, and Information Services leadership to align technology investments with organizational priorities
โ€ข Drive continuous process improvement, automation, AI-enabled tools, and adherence to healthcare technology best practices
โ€ข Determine strategic direction for enterprise desktop, server, storage, data management, database technologies, and/or data center operations
โ€ข Evaluate, recommend, and implement enterprise infrastructure best practices and technologies
โ€ข Recommend and implement high-availability and disaster recovery solutions
โ€ข Review and evaluate client requests for projects, production support, and software or hardware changes
โ€ข Determine technical requirements and coordinate implementation schedules and departmental activities
โ€ข Establish capacity, performance, availability, and recoverability requirements
โ€ข Coordinate and evaluate technical staff work and prepare performance reviews
โ€ข Project long-range staffing and budget requirements
โ€ข Establish infrastructure policies, procedures, and service offerings
โ€ข Establish and review capacity, availability, service continuity, change, and configuration management processes
โ€ข Evaluate, propose, and implement technologies and processes to improve process maturity
โ€ข Ensure enterprise infrastructure is understood and documented
โ€ข Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree OR equivalent experience
  • Field of Study: Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years in Information Technology demonstrating increased responsibilities
  • 5+ years of direct people leadership experience managing network, telecommunications, or infrastructure engineering teams (desired)
  • Experience supporting large integrated healthcare systems, academic medical centers, or other highly regulated enterprise environments (desired)
  • Experience managing infrastructure projects across multiple facilities, hospitals, and remote locations (desired)
  • Demonstrated success leading organizational growth initiatives, facility expansions, technology standardization efforts, mergers, and acquisitions (desired)
  • Strong background in ITIL service management, operational excellence, process improvement, and automation initiatives (desired)Experience presenting technology strategy, business cases, and project updates to senior leadership and executive audiences (desired)
  • Industry certifications such as PMP, ITIL, CCNP/CCIE, CWNP, or equivalent leadership and technical credentials preferred
  • Expert knowledge of enterprise networking technologies, including routing, switching, wireless networking, software-defined networking, telecommunications systems, voice platforms, network security, cloud connectivity, and data center networking architectures
  • Proven experience designing and supporting highly available, geographically dispersed healthcare networks supporting mission-critical clinical applications
  • Ability to lead teams responsible for large-scale infrastructure deployment and project delivery across multiple locations
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, portfolio management, infrastructure architecture, systems integration, and technology lifecycle management
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements, cybersecurity frameworks, disaster recovery planning, business continuity practices, and operational resiliency standards
  • Experience developing enterprise standards, governance processes, service offerings, and operational metrics
  • Experience managing departmental budgets, capital planning, forecasting, contract negotiations, vendor management, cost-benefit analyses, and strategic technology sourcing
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience leveraging automation, orchestration, analytics, and AI technologies
  • Experience with coaching, mentoring, talent development, succession planning, and performance management
