Job description

ACLC, LLC is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Lead Telecommunications Instructor to support an anticipated contract with the Joint Communications Support Element (JCSE) located at MacDill AFB, FL.  All duties must be performed on-site in Government facilities.

This is a full-time, on-site position, which requires a SECRET clearance.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 Independently research, develop, maintain and update materials for complete courses in advanced technical systems. Assist in determining course coverage for advanced technical courses. Resolve problems in selecting, interpreting and adapting materials.

Conduct extensive fact finding and research to select, interpret and adapt complex, detailed training material from various sources such as industry, research laboratories, educational institutions, professional associations, libraries and other agencies to develop complete courses. Resolve problems resulting from unsuitable or insufficient information, or the new or changing nature of the field or lack of research in it.

Develop all course material to include new or modified study guides, visual aids, simulations (mockups and models), written tests, proficiency charts, training aids and course outlines. Course material may include interactive courseware, computer-based instruction, long distance training, or video telecommunications capabilities.

Independently develop and adapt new or revised training or testing materials for course use. As required, participate in planning and developing or evaluating and revising the curriculum as changes occur in subject matter special or assigned project. Update lesson plans as changes occur in subject matter areas or when there are technological changes that alter methods of delivery. While assessing impact of new material and coordinating with other courses of instruction.

Develop and modify, as needed, short and long-range lesson plans that are complementary to total course content. Determine the best way to convey the course material to the students using a combination of conventional teaching methods, e.g., conferences, demonstrations and practical exercises on equipment, to present the subject matter.

Responsible for independently developing planning, coordinating, presenting material and following lesson plans, relating to students with complicated, specialized learning difficulties, accommodate sudden changes in subject-matter area, or for other unavoidable circumstances. Monitor and evaluate student progress in courses in advanced technical systems. Prepare and administer formal and informal tests or quizzes. Review the understanding of the material. Observe student classroom/field activities and participation. Provide guidance to students and student projects.

Conduct classroom, laboratory and field instruction for any of the following courses: advanced technical systems, proctor and instructor for select Cisco ,CompTIA, and Microsoft certifications. Moderate seminars, conferences and practical exercises and give lectures and participate in panel discussions.

Forecast and coordinate operational, logistical and administrative requirements to conduct classroom/field training exercises for students and instructors. Ensure teaching supplies, equipment, and classrooms/training areas are available and operational at the allotted time. In cases where training equipment or information is very valuable or sensitive, ensure classroom procedures meet security and confidentiality standards.

 Conduct task analyses for determining training requirements or in special staff studies of training and testing materials. Evaluate and revise the curriculum as required. Determine the need for additional subject-matter information and meetings with representatives of outside organizations to obtain it.

Maintain attendance information. As necessary, counsel students in the areas of performance, deportment, attitude or participation.

Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness throughout course of instruction. At the end of the course, complete overall analysis of program effectiveness, and change course content or other appropriate aspects of the instruction accordingly.

Demonstrate various training techniques and methods and evaluate the performance of lower-level instructors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology.
  • CompTIA and Cisco instructor certified in addition to Security+ and CCNA certification. Must have experience and background in Networking and Network Security.
  • Applicable training and/or current certifications for the specified
    discipline, e.g. CCNP, MCSA, or current equivalents. Seven years of progressive
    experience in their discipline.
  • Has three or more years of consecutive teaching experience (any formal
    instructor/teaching education).

     • Ability to obtain SECRET clearance (Must be a U.S. citizen)
