Senior Systems Engineer /Core Infrastructure, VMware

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. This role focuses on the design, implementation, management, and optimization of core infrastructure systems with a specialization in VMware and related technologies. The Senior Systems Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of the organization’s IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
 
  • Core Infrastructure Management
    • Design, deploy, and manage enterprise infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking components.
    • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to ensure high availability and reliability.
    • Lead infrastructure-related projects, including upgrades, migrations, and system integrations.
 
  • VMware Administration
    • Architect, implement, and maintain VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts and vCenter servers.
    • Optimize virtual infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
    • Manage virtual machine provisioning, snapshots, and backups.
 
  • Configuration Management
    • Develop and maintain scripts (PowerShell, PowerCLI, Python, etc.) for system automation and process improvements.
    • Automate repetitive tasks, enhance monitoring capabilities, and ensure system configurations adhere to best practices.
    • Implement and maintain security measures to protect core infrastructure systems.
    • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
