Job description:

· Follow appropriate methods and SOPS on all tasks. Maintain quality control records.

· Ensure laboratory equipment’s are maintained and calibrated.

· Responsible for accurate performance of testing, recording and sampling of products and ingredients.

· To perform the analysis and pass the information in a timely and accurate flow to the plant staff and management is required.

· To perform tank breaking, monitoring pH, pre-op inspections including visual, ATP and micro swabbing.

· Basic microbiology plating and chemistry testing.

· Read, calculate, record data in Laboratory Data System (QA Studio).

· Read, enter and evaluate process control samples

· Some science background or 2-3 years of experience.

· Basic lab equipment and analytical knowledge is needed.

· A basic knowledge of food science is necessary to analyze the content of samples.

· A basic knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and practices is required to ensure a safe working environment.

· Interpersonal skills are required to effectively work within teams.

· Proficient in computer skills including Excel, Word, Emails, etc.

Physical demands:

· Frequent standing, walking, use of hands, climbing ladders.

· Infrequent crouching, talking /hearing, tasting/smelling and sitting. Frequent lifting/moving up to 40 pounds.
