Job Summary:
Tata Consultancy Services is a leading IT services company, and they are seeking an Engineer for Computer Systems Support. The role involves providing technical assistance to users, installing and configuring desktop systems, and troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Responsibilities:
• Provide technical assistance to users experiencing hardware and software issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
• Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to desktop systems, applications, and network connectivity.
• Train users on new technologies and provide guidance on best practices.
• Maintain detailed records of technical issues and solutions, and update documentation as needed.
• Work closely with other IT teams to resolve complex issues.
• Set up and maintain audiovisual (AV) equipment in conference rooms. Ensure all equipment is functioning properly before meetings and provide on-the-spot technical support during meetings.
• Managing iOS devices, including familiarity with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with users and team members.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or similar are advantageous.
• Familiarity with setting up and troubleshooting AV equipment and video conferencing tools like Microsoft Teams.
• Additional certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA Network+, can be beneficial.
• Strong customer service orientation to provide a positive user experience.
