Job Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Continue duties of Computer Support Technician. 2. Assist in the duties of the Computer Support Analyst as needed. 3. Train Computer Support Center Technicians. 4. First point of contact for solving undocumented issues. 5. Escalates any issues to Hardware Support Specialist. 6. Interview and evaluate students for hiring. 7. Creates and Manage Student schedules. 8. Provide technical support to students that come to the SCSC. 9. Work on computers that were received by the SCSC. 10. Image and install drivers onto student laptops. 11. Scan and remove viruses from computers brought to the SCSC. 12. Run diagnostics to determine if a machine has hardware problems. 13. Document any hardware related symptoms and send scholarship machines to Equipment repair services for warranty repair. 14. Provide quick fix support at the OIT HMSU Kiosk. 15. While providing quick fix support, educate the user of things they can do to prevent errors they are fixing. 16. Be able to work weekends during the first two weeks of the semester and as needed. 17. Other duties as assigned
