Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg)Role Summary

Advance your clinical nursing career in a dynamic and highly supportive acute care environment. We are seeking adaptable, compassionate, and clinically confident Med-Surg Registered Nurses for both day and night shift positions. In this role, you will utilize the nursing process to manage a diverse patient caseload, incorporating advanced respiratory support and telemetry monitoring. Operating within a collaborative interdisciplinary framework supported by 24/7 Respiratory Therapy and Pharmacy, you will serve as a strong advocate for patient health, safety, and dignity.

Key Duties:

  • Acute Patient Care: Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse medical-surgical patient population utilizing the nursing process.

  • Clinical Monitoring: Manage telemetry-monitored patients and recognize acute clinical changes, taking prompt, definitive action.

  • Advanced Respiratory Support: Oversee and manage patients utilizing non-invasive ventilation equipment, including BiPAP, CPAP, Vapotherm, and Draegar systems.

  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work seamlessly alongside CNAs, 24/7 Respiratory Therapists, and a 24/7 Pharmacy team to ensure comprehensive continuity of care.

  • Flexible Care Delivery: Demonstrate clinical adaptability by effectively managing changing patient assignments and floating across specialized units (Ortho/Neuro, Oncology, Acute Care, and specialized medical floors) as needed.

  • Documentation & Safety: Perform accurate computer-based charting within the Meditech EMR system, ensuring strict compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

  • Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia (or compact state licensure).

  • Certifications: * Current BLS (Basic Life Support).ur

    • Crent ASLS (Advanced Stroke Life Support) OR NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification.

  • Attributes: High flexibility with changing assignments during a shift and a strong commitment to team-based care.

Desired Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred (qualifies for an added wage differential).

  • Experience: Prior acute care or medical-surgical experience within a fast-paced hospital setting.

  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with the Meditech EMR platform and advanced IV therapies (such as PICC line management).
