About the Role
We’re looking for a Platform Engineering Co-Op Student to join our Platform Engineering team. This position will be reporting to the Director, Platform Engineering, and is for the September 2026 - December 2026 co-op term.

What You’ll Do

  • Monitor Platform Infrastructure – Analyze operational issues across platform infrastructure, proactively identifying performance bottlenecks, system anomalies, and reliability risks while supporting root cause analysis and resolution efforts
  • Oversee Operational Metrics & Monitoring – Review and interpret operational dashboards and metrics to assess system health, identify trends, and surface actionable insights that inform performance improvements and operational decision-making
  • Review & Coordinate Change Requests – Evaluate incoming change requests for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with operational standards, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to ensure readiness and proper implementation planning
  • Execute Pre-Approved Change Activities – Carry out pre-arranged change request tasks in accordance with established processes and timelines, ensuring changes are implemented accurately, documented appropriately, and validated post-deployment

What You Bring

  • Current enrollment in a post-secondary program with a Canadian institution in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
  • Familiarity with Linux system administration and containerization within Docker
  • Experience with digital productivity tools (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or similar)
  • PostgreSQL, VMWare, or similar tools considered assets
  • Clear and concise communication skills with the ability to convey ideas effectively in both written and verbal form
  • Active listening skills, demonstrating attention to stakeholder needs, the ability to ask clarifying questions, and confirm understanding before acting
  • The ability to build relationships across different business functions and show a team-oriented attitude
  • Proactive communication and willingness to flag issues early, provide regular progress updates, and the confidence to escalate blockers without prompting
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-moving environment

Compensation: $21.67 – $31.53 CAD per hour (as determined by work term)

This role requires working onsite in our Cambridge office (96 Grand Ave S Unit 101, Cambridge, ON N1S 2L9) two days per week.
