Job description

Pay Range: $50.00- $72.00

SUMMARY

The Pharmacist ensures compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies while preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and overseeing patient interactions. Additionally, they contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives, maintain a clean work environment, and complete the necessary continuing education to uphold professional standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complies with all applicable federal, state laws, pharmacy regulations, and company policies.

  • Prepares and dispenses prescription medications, including maintenance of necessary records, accurate third-party adjudication and patient charges, and inventory management.

  • Counsel’s patients and medical providers regarding the nature and use of drugs, dosage, drug interactions, and side effects.

  • Participates in patient centered services including immunization, MTM, and wellness programs.

  • Supervises personnel in the daily operation of the pharmacy department and holds them accountable for complying with regulatory and company polices.

  • Provides guidance and training to pharmacy interns, technicians, and pharmacy associates while working and monitors performance.

  • Maintains a neat, clean, and organized workstation at all times.

  • Completes required continuing education programs as required by state law.

  • Achievement of financial goals such as sales, gross profit maximization as well as minimization of shrink and supply expense.

  • Maintain security of all controlled substances

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Licensed and registered Pharmacist in good standing within the state of practice.

  • Immunization Certification or agreement by pharmacist to complete.

  • Must have a Valid Driver’s License.

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Must submit to DL Monitoring.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 5-year Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy

  • General knowledge of pharmacy computer systems and automated dispensing systems

  • Ability to communicate effectively: verbal, written and electronic.

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage others.

  • Ability to assign, prioritize, and evaluate the work of others.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
