Job Title Intern - Applications, AI and Machine Learning

General Role Description
Provide software design support for data analytics and technical support for business data solutions for information technology projects that meet client needs and fulfill project requirements
Role Accountabilities
- Gather pertinent information from authorized sources to assess project requirements as related to assigned scope of work
- Create and document computer-based software modules to meet functionality and work progress targets, as directed, at prescribed design checkpoints
- Recommend improvements to test procedures to better identify where software does not meet all project requirements for
assigned scope of work
- Design, build, and deploy artificial intelligence/machine learning systems and applications that solve complex business problems
- Develop dashboards based on business requirements following industry best practices and approved methodologies
- Identify key trends and patterns via analysis of internal and external data associated with the performance of the company
and report to manager
- Design, implement, test, deploy and document system configurations including data analytics structures, visualizations
and dashboards to meet project requirements
- Verify data accuracy, quality and integrity when sourcing and curating data from the Company's business systems into data
models
- Provide technical consulting to users regarding applications and development
- Ensure completion of assignments within the defined scope, quality, and time
- Provide regular, accurate and considered status reports to parties deemed appropriate to the situation

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma
  • Enrolled in Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Data Science or Mathematics program, or related field, with related coursework
  • Classes, labs and projects with concentration in some combination of data analysis, data analytics structures, data preparation, ETL processes or data visualization
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated successful working relationships with others in educational or employment setting
  • Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Availability to travel domestically, up to 5%, sometimes with limited notice
  • Visa sponsorship not available for this position
  • This is not a benefits eligible position

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Data Science or Mathematics
- Enrolled in Master of Science in Computer Science, Data Science or Mathematics
- Working knowledge of Oracle data analytics tools
- Work experience as a research assistant, intern, or co-op in the above areas
