Job description

HW/SW Test Engineer needed: Middletown, RI.  *Must have a Secret Clearance to Start*
 
We have an opening with a great client of ours and we are looking for a HW/SW Test Engineer for a contract position in Middletown, RI.  This is a 9 month contract and you must be a US Citizen to apply. Required: US Citizenship and Residency, W2 hourly Contract Only, No 1099, No third parties, no C2C.  No exceptions (Sorry)
 
Pay: $75 to $85/hr. D.O.E.    *Must have a Secret Clearance to Start*
 
HW/SW TEST ENGINEER 
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to execution of test plans for Linux & VxWorks software development efforts, hardware & software integration efforts, and test planning and development. The ideal candidate enjoys in a multi-disciplinary role and is comfortable adapting to and identifying new technologies as needed.
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop test plans, test procedures, and test tools for multiple programs
  • Perform testing of both HW and SW systems, isolate failures, and propose solutions
  • Interface with DoD clients executing formal sell-off test events and integration test periods
  • Work closely with development teams when bugs are identified to track and resolve issues
  • Requirements tracking and verification
 
QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE
  • An active DoD secret clearance
  • BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant discipline and 5 years of experience or MS grad with degree and 3 years of experience.
  • Test execution experience in software environments, and documentation of test results Experience with test tracking software tools.
  • Position may require some amount of overnight travel. Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
 
QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER
  • Experience and knowledge of software development in C Experience working with embedded systems Experience with Atlassian toolset (i.e. Jira and Confluence)
  • Experience in QA or configuration management
 
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • 5-8 years
 
EDUCATION LEVEL REQUIRED
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
