Job description

The Schuylkill Valley School District has an anticipated vacancy for a Computer Science Teacher at the high school effective for the start of the 2026-27 school year.ย  This position is responsible for implementing the district's computer science education instructional program with students and providing the students with appropriate instruction and a learning environment that will enable each student in the district to master the basic computer science educationย skills outlined in the curriculum. This position teachesย a variety of high school computer science courses, including Advanced Placement (AP) Computer Science Principles and/or AP Computer Science A.ย PA Computer Science 7-12 teaching certificate,ย experience teaching Advanced Placement (AP) Computer Science courses, demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with others, andย acceptable record of attendance required. Certification or experience in Cisco Networking courses (e.g., CCNA, IT Essentials) and master's degreeย preferred.ย Minority candidates are encouraged to apply.ย  EOE.
