JOB TITLE:Â Â Â Â Â Manufacturing Engineer II (Manufacturing Engineer 1)

DUTIES:
- Assist in planning and designing basic manufacturing processes in an industrial plant under close supervision.
- Apply basic engineering principles to perform routine design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation in support of manufacturing operations.
- Conduct analyses or tests of a routine degree of complexity pertaining to the development of new methods, materials, processes, or standards and provide recommendations accordingly.
- Prepare plans, process specifications and procedures, production aids and assembly fixtures, MRP (Material Requirements Planning) support studies, factory cost work standards, and assignments of similar complexity.
- Assign work to drafters and technicians as needed.
- Apply Lean methods to eliminate waste and improve efficiency.
- Lead line balancing events to improve job elements and reduce bottlenecks, achieving measurable efficiency improvements.
- Conduct capacity studies to evaluate production capabilities and guide staffing or resource decisions.
- Analyze downtime data to identify root causes and lead projects to improve equipment reliability.
- Develop standard work instructions to ensure tasks are performed consistently and efficiently.
- Use TimerPro software to analyze tasks and separate value-added from non-value-added work.
- Lead projects to reduce waste steps and improve operator efficiency.
- Meet weekly with production supervisors and engineering teams to address challenges and implement solutions.
- Serve as a bridge between production and engineering to ensure improvements are practical and effective.
What We Offer
REQUIREMENTS:Â Â
- Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field and completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, or thesis or one year of experience involving the following:
- Â Project/Operations Management and Continuous Improvement in a Manufacturing setting;
- MRP (Material Requirements Planning) Studies;Â
- Statistical Analysis;Â Â
- Process Mapping; Â and
- CAD Software and Microsoft Office Suite.
RATE OF PAY: $82,740 -116,000 per year
