Barbaricum is seeking an Software Engineer III to directly support the anticipated Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Division, Model Based Engineering Assessment Division (Code MXM). Code MXM's mission is mission engineering analysis and assessment of complex Naval, DoD, and joint kill chains - with a specialized focus on Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) enabled analysis. As a Software Engineer III, you will apply software engineering expertise and modern development practice in support of Code MXM's EMSO mission engineering, modeling, and test activities. You will bring depth in programming concepts and contemporary software development methodologies to the team's software efforts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Apply programming concepts in a professional or academic setting.
  • Apply modern software development methodologies (e.g., agile, DevOps/DevSecOps) in a professional or academic setting.
  • Support the team's software engineering tasking across the development lifecycle.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Active DoD SECRET clearance (minimum); U.S. citizenship required.
  • Master's degree in a quantitative field such as engineering or mathematics (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems).
  • 10 years of professional experience with software engineering.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Agile Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification.
  • Experience applying agile and DevOps/DevSecOps methodologies.
