Job description

Summary/Objective
Develop software applications and programs to increase the organization's efficiency and improve the current processes and systems. Maintain applications currently in place and program modifications and improvements as required by the users and systems. Provide support to the organization using new technology and a thorough understanding of the technology used within the company and develop ways to improve its use.
Essential functions in the role include:
  • Develop applications as directed by department management
  • Assist with special projects identified by management bringing an information technology perspective to the solution
  • Identify areas and processes that could be improved upon with current software or new software development
  • Develop understanding of new technology and assist in the application of that technology within the organization
  • Develop and maintain SQL databases to support applications and development
  • Provide secondary support for network administration along with user workstations and servers.

Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Programming
  • Prior work experience preferred
  • Good communication skills; verbal and written

Technical Qualifications
  • Experience with SQL or relational databases
  • Ability to develop and maintain applications using computer programming language
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow, Green, and/or Black Belt Certified a plus

Physical demands:
  • May be required to work extended hours as needed
