Job Description

Reporting and working under the direction of the Electrical Engineering Manager and alongside Electrical Team members this co-op position will support the Electrical Engineering Department in project work as well as providing support to our manufacturing operations in North America.

This position will begin during the Fall 2026 term for a minimum of 12 months. We ask that you only apply for this position if this aligns with your availability.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Create, edit, and update electrical schematics and layout drawings in AutoCAD based on input from supervisor or team members

  • Create and update spreadsheets used for bill of material lists, cable schedules, job tracking, estimating, etc.

  • Develop and update documentation

  • Assist senior engineers with their responsibilities

  • Assist in PLC programming as per project requirements.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 3rd or 4th year student enrolled in University

  • Excellent organization and analytical skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Strong communication (written, verbal, and presentation) and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to establish priorities and work effectively in a team

  • Works well independently

  • Understanding of basic electrical theory and control circuits

  • Understanding of Basic PLC programming in ladder logic

  • Ability to create and edit AutoCAD drawings
