Job Description

The SCADA Operator monitors, analyzes, dispatches and communicates to on-call personnel, field operators and utility technicians the remote monitoring alarms received from field instrumentation and transmitting systems.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitors SCADA alarms from a central computer and telephone.

  • Generates work orders to personnel through computer and telephone.

  • Generates and distributes SCADA reports when requested.

  • Issues System Pressure Advisories and Lifts in accordance with operations supervisor instruction.

  • Performs other assignments as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required

  • 0-2 Years of Related Experience Required

  • Competent using Microsoft OS; Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

  • Uses skills needed to obtain or provide routine information and answer some straightforward questions; Communication often requires some interpretation (e.g. dealing with inquiries).

Schedule:

This is a part-time position. The schedule is Saturdays & Sundays from 2pm-10pm with the ability to work additional over-time as needed for team coverage/support.
