Overview
Chenega Services & Federal Solutions (CSFS), is seeking to hire an experienced Computer Programmer II / Power Platform Developer to support the Office of Informatics (OI) within the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The NCIPC Office of Informatics supports a growing portfolio of systems and IT services while providing Center-wide leadership in project management best practices, IT governance, system interoperability, reduction of redundancies, adoption of emerging technologies, accountability of IT resources, data security, and compliance with Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and CDC IT policies, procedures, standards, and regulations. The Computer Programmer II / Power Platform Developer will design, develop, and maintain modern applications and automation solutions supporting NCIPC data systems using Microsoft Power Platform and related technologies.
Work Location:
  • In-office/hybrid: Work will primarily be performed in a remote environment, with on-site support provided on an as-needed basis, at the CDC Chamblee Campus.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain custom business applications, workflow automation solutions, dashboards, and reporting tools using Microsoft Power Platform technologies, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
  • Analyze and translate business and functional requirements into scalable, secure, efficient, and user-friendly technical solutions that support data collection, integration, reporting, analytics, and process automation initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between Power Platform applications, enterprise systems, databases, SharePoint environments, and cloud platforms to ensure seamless data exchange and operational efficiency.
  • Create advanced analytics, visualizations, and performance dashboards to support program monitoring, operational reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure all developed applications, workflows, and system enhancements comply with CDC Enterprise Performance Life Cycle (EPLC) framework requirements, CDC network and Help Desk policies, NCIPC SharePoint Governance procedures, CDC Security Office requirements, federal cybersecurity standards, and Section 508 accessibility compliance guidelines.
  • Conduct system testing, debugging, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and quality assurance activities to ensure reliability, scalability, maintainability, and optimal system performance.
  • Collaborate with program stakeholders, technical teams, and business users to gather requirements, define technical specifications, prioritize enhancements, and ensure alignment with organizational and program objectives.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, design specifications, operational procedures, user manuals, and knowledge transfer materials.
  • Support the full system development lifecycle, including application deployment, maintenance, upgrades, enhancements, governance reviews, and integration of emerging technologies and modernization initiatives.
  • Provide expertise in data administration and management functions, including data collection, organization, analysis, governance, distribution, and information system technologies.
  • Support execution, development, and evaluation of IT investment stage gate reviews and related data governance and compliance activities.
  • Adhere to established CDC and NCIPC governance policies, technical standards, operational procedures, and Microsoft best practices for application development and platform administration.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder groups.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
  • Completed Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • Minimum of seven (7)+ years of experience as a Software Developer working within an Agile/Scrum environment, including extensive expertise in SharePoint development, administration, and customization.
  • Demonstrate experience with Microsoft Power Platform integration and possess a strong understanding of data governance frameworks, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Required Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Azure/AWS cloud integration.
  • Experience with data analytics and visualization tools.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Low-code development expertise.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Professional working knowledge within SharePoint
