We are currently expanding our team at Pure Barre Colleyville, Pure Barre North Fort Worth, and, Pure Barre Keller. This is the perfect opportunity to interact with clients on a daily basis and help create a supportive and meaningful community. Training and scholarships are available to become a Pure Barre Teacher. 

POSITION: 

The purpose of the Pure Barre Teacher is to provide safe, effective barre instruction in accordance with all Pure Barre guidelines and expectations. We are looking for a team player that provides a safe, friendly, and professional environment.

Background fitness or group fitness instruction knowledge are preferred, but not required. This is a hourly position that requires availability to work a rotating, weekend morning shift. The Teacher reports to the Lead Teacher.

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Familiarity with dance/barre and musicality
  • Ability to learn and manage the Club Ready software system
  • Up-to-date CPR/AED training 
  • Demonstrate anatomical knowledge and focus on safety and alignment 
  • Pleasant, professional demeanor and excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Warm, welcoming, and engaging personality 
  • Proven public speaking skills 
  • Willingness to evolve with new developments in the fitness industry, specifically in relation to Pure Barre 
  • Team player 
  • Passion for learning and willingness to attend continuing education trainings and seminars
  • Punctual and reliable 
  • Ability to implement and streamline new procedures in a diverse environment 
  • Consistently uses excellent judgment 
  • Ability to work harmoniously with clients, management, and instructors

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Teach at least 4 classes each week 
  • Regularly inspect equipment for damage or wear and make recommendations to management about updates 
  • Stay up-to-date with and implement Pure Barre educational standards at all times 
  • Provide Pure Barre instruction to private classes as requested by manager 
  • Must be skilled at proper and safe use of a variety of equipment during each class, including, but not limited to, hand weights, ankle/wrist weights, platforms, resistance tubing, and mats 
  • Participate in networking/community/client appreciation events as needed and studio promotions to generate new business 
  • Maintain honesty and integrity 
  • Other duties as assigned 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Must be able to stoop, kneel, bend, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, work with fingers, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions 
  • Must be able to lift 20lbs and be able to move/push equipment as needed
  • Visual acuity required 
  • Prolonged standing 
  • Must be able to speak and hear well enough to communicate well with others both one-on-one and in front of groups 
  • Ability to think and process information quickly, clearly and accurately 
  • Strong reasoning ability; able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, written or oral instructions; able to deal calmly and logically with problems and people, even under pressure.
