Job Description
The CIT Networking program at CSN provides instruction in network routing-switching, Microsoft, Linux, and Cloud technologies. We are particularly interested in candidates that can teach entry-level networking, cloud, and Linux courses. This individual will be primarily responsible for teaching courses in subject matter pertaining to information technology infrastructure and technical support.
  • A successful candidate does not need to be qualified to teach all of the above listed courses.
  • Assigned courses, days, times and/or locations may vary from semester to semester.
  • Assignments may be any combination of classroom and online modes.
  • Assignments may be located on any combination of CSN's several campuses.
  • Assignments may be any combination of any days of the week including weekends.
  • Assignments may be any combination of courses for which instructor is qualified.

Teaching assignments may include one or more courses that prepare student for certifications such as:
  • Comptia A+ Network+
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate - CCNA
  • Microsoft 365 and Azure courses
  • AWS Cloud courses
  • Linux

Required Qualifications
  • Associate's degree from a regionally accredited college or university with an information technology emphasis.
  • 1 year experience teaching technical courses.
  • 2 years experience providing technical support in the networking or IT support role.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with a major, minor, or advanced degree from a regionally accredited college or university with technical emphasis such as IT, IS, CS, EE, etc.
  • Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body and/or workforce.
  • Certifications earned within the past five years including Comptia A+, Network+, Linux+, AWS, Microsoft Azure, RHCSA Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator, Cisco CCNA, Quality Matters APPQMR certification.
  • Experience using the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS).

Starting Salary range
$925.00 Per Instructional Unit/Credit
