Overview:

Glassfab Tempering Services Dallas is a supplier of high-quality glass and hardware products offering exceptional, genuine customer service. Glassfab delivers crafted architectural glass and metal products to local custom shower door companies, glass shops and architectural glazing contractors.

With consistent expansion and strong growth, our passion is serving our highly valued customers. We are looking for an experienced Programmer / CAD & Manufacturing Support Specialist to join our team and help shape our rapidly growing future.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with fabrication programming, CNC equipment, optimization software, digitizing, and Computer-Aided Design (CAD). This position also supports our customers by providing shower door layouts, assisting with order entry, and collaborating closely with production to ensure accurate and efficient manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program fabrication equipment and CNC machinery for glass processing.
  • Create and optimize production files using WJ and other fabrication software.
  • Digitize glass templates and customer specifications for manufacturing.
  • Prepare and review CAD drawings for custom shower door layouts and related glass products.
  • Provide shower door layout services and technical support to customers.
  • Optimize glass layouts to maximize material utilization and production efficiency.
  • Enter and verify customer orders, ensuring accuracy from order entry through production.
  • Work closely with sales, customer service, and production teams to resolve technical questions and maintain project accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot programming and manufacturing issues while recommending process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate programming files, production documentation, and engineering records.

Qualifications

  • Experience programming CNC machinery in the glass fabrication or tempering industry.
  • Strong knowledge of WJ programming and glass fabrication software.
  • Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD).
  • Experience with fabrication programming, digitizing, and production optimization.
  • Knowledge of shower door design, layout, and hardware applications.
  • Experience with order entry and manufacturing workflow systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
  • Customer service experience with the ability to communicate professionally with customers and internal teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in architectural glass or shower door manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with ERP or manufacturing management software.
