Job description

ZimZee Recruiting is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the development of innovative digital and mixed-signal products from concept through production and ongoing support. This leadership role is responsible for managing multiple product development programs, guiding engineering teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving projects to meet technical, schedule, cost, and quality objectives. The ideal candidate combines strong engineering expertise with proven people leadership skills and experience in regulated manufacturing environments.


Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
  • 10+ years of experience designing and/or managing the development of digital and mixed-signal products with embedded software
  • 5+ years of experience leading and developing engineering teams with direct reports
  • Experience managing product development within a regulated industry environment
  • Strong understanding of the complete product development lifecycle, from concept through production release and support
  • Experience working within manufacturing environments and supporting product implementation
  • Proficiency with engineering design tools, ERP systems, and project management software
  • Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to lead multiple concurrent projects


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple concurrent product development programs through all phases of the product lifecycle, including concept development, design, testing, certification, production rollout, and post-release support
  • Manage, coach, mentor, and develop engineering team members while fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture
  • Direct product development activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, customer, market, and quality requirement
  • Drive projects to achieve established performance, schedule, budget, and business objectives
  • Provide technical leadership through design reviews, problem resolution, risk management, and direct engineering support when needed
