Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Space Planning & CAD Coordinator (Contract) to support facility growth and workplace development within a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate facility records and drawings, supporting project development, and assisting with space planning initiatives across office, engineering, manufacturing, and laboratory spaces.

The ideal candidate has experience with CAD software, strong organizational skills, and an interest in facilities, workplace design, and project coordination. This position offers an opportunity to grow into broader facilities planning and workplace strategy responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update architectural floor plans, as-built drawings, and occupancy records.
  • Develop and manage CAD standards and drawing libraries.
  • Produce workstation layouts, furniture plans, and space reconfiguration drawings.
  • Track occupancy and space utilization data while supporting seating assignments and workspace allocation.
  • Support departmental moves, additions, and changes (MAC activities).
  • Assist Facilities Project Managers with project drawings, documentation, and drawing revisions.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to maintain accurate drawing updates.
  • Maintain facility databases, drawing archives, and project records to reflect current conditions.
  • Participate in site walks and field verification activities.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering Technology, Interior Design, Facilities Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in CAD drafting, facilities planning, architectural support, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with common office productivity software and collaboration tools.
