Job description

We are seeking an entry level Computer Technician I. Compensation is commensurate with experience, skills, and certifications, and we are committed to offering a competitive total rewards package with the potential for growth.


Our team values direct engagement with clients and collaborative growth among technicians. We predominantly deliver our services on-site in Cambridge, MA, and Burlington, MA, ensuring a superior level of customer service. The role requires the ability to work on-site, for which we offer support with parking, transportation costs, and T fees.


We are looking for someone with an entry level foundation in troubleshooting basic computer and server issues demonstrated through education, work experience, or certification. Ideal candidate must be flexible, learn quickly, and have strong interpersonal skills to deliver the customer service expected of our MSP delivery model.


This job is located onsite in Burlington, MA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage professionally with clients.
  • Maintain accurate time tracking and detailed technical notes.
  • Ensure clear communication with clients and team members.


Desktop Support Experience:

  • Basic knowledge of Windows Server setup and maintenance.
  • Conduct routine network maintenance tasks.
  • Troubleshoot various application issues effectively.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Solid understanding of networking, hardware, and software essentials.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • A genuine passion for technology and continuous learning.


Technical Experience:

  • Experience with routing, switching, firewalls, and wireless networking.
  • Proficiency in Windows Server management (Active Directory, HyperV, Clustering, DNS, DHCP, Terminal Server, PowerShell, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Security and Backup Tools (Azure Entra, SIEM, SOC, EDR, Bitdefender, Watchguard, VEEAM, Zerto, etc.) helpful but not required.
  • Experience with ConnectWise Tools (Automate, Manage) a plus.
  • Support capabilities for Office 365 and SharePoint Online.


Certifications:

  • Technical certifications such as CompTIA, ITIL, and Microsoft certifications are advantageous.


Work Conditions:

  • Full-time salaried position, averaging 40 hours per week.
  • Standard work hours are 8:30 AM – 5 PM, Monday to Friday. Alternative schedules may be considered upon request.
  • Occasional weekend or after-hours work may be required.
  • Physical ability to move equipment up to 55 pounds.
