Job Description & Skill Requirement

We are seeking a highly experienced AutoCAD Administrator to lead enterprise CAD system management, standards development, automation initiatives, and digital transformation efforts. This role will be responsible for establishing CAD governance, optimizing Autodesk environments, supporting enterprise-wide CAD users, and driving standardization across engineering and design teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and execute enterprise CAD strategy, roadmap, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Establish and maintain CAD standards, governance models, templates, libraries, and best practices.
Manage installation, configuration, upgrades, licensing, deployment, and lifecycle management of AutoCAD and related Autodesk platforms.
Administer enterprise deployments, cloud collaboration environments, and integrations.
Monitor CAD system performance and implement scalability, reliability, and efficiency improvements.
Troubleshoot complex CAD system issues and coordinate with IT teams and software vendors.
Develop and enforce CAD standards, documentation practices, release management processes, and quality control procedures.
Conduct audits to ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards.
Design and implement advanced customizations using AutoLISP, VBA, .NET, Python, APIs, and automation tools.
Evaluate and deploy third-party CAD tools and integrations.
Lead CAD data management initiatives, including file structures, naming conventions, version control, and archival strategies.
Integrate CAD systems with BIM, PLM, and document management platforms such as Autodesk Vault and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
Support digital transformation and design data modernization initiatives.
Provide expert-level user support and technical guidance.
Develop and deliver advanced CAD training programs and technical documentation.
Support large-scale engineering and design projects requiring advanced CAD coordination.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Drafting, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
7+ years of advanced AutoCAD experience.
3-5+ years of CAD administration, CAD leadership, or CAD systems management experience.
Deep expertise in AutoCAD configuration, customization, standards development, and administration.
Strong experience across Autodesk products including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MEP, Inventor, Navisworks, and related platforms.
Advanced programming and scripting experience using AutoLISP, VBA, .NET, Python, or similar technologies.
Experience with enterprise software deployment tools and cloud collaboration environments.
Familiarity with BIM workflows, Digital Twin initiatives, and PLM systems.
Experience leading CAD/BIM standardization, governance, or enterprise implementation initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience integrating CAD systems with Autodesk Vault, ACC, Forma, BIM platforms, or PLM systems.
Background supporting large engineering, infrastructure, manufacturing, or AEC organizations.
