Position Summary: Texas - Austin, Dallas, San Antonio
Join KFM Engineering & Design as a full-time, on-site Survey CAD Technician. In this role, you will support the field-to-finish survey process and assist with a variety of commercial and development projects across Texas, including Boundary Surveys, As-Builts utilizing Terrestrial Scanning, and site development projects.
Responsibilities include property research, field crew preparation, survey computations, and drafting technical plans, 2D/3D models, and construction documents using Civil3D. You will work closely with survey crews, engineers, and project managers to deliver accurate, high-quality project deliverables.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Provide accurate maps and information to field crews based on the specific requirements and scope of each project.
  • Interpret and analyze survey-related materials such as deeds, plats, and title commitments to ensure precise and reliable data.
  • Maintain effective communication with team members and stakeholders, ensuring clarity and consistency across all projects.
  • Utilization of survey line coding techniques to aid in drafting efficiently.
  • Use Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center software for drafting, processing, and data analysis (experience with these platforms preferred).
  • Integrate and apply data gathered from aerial and terrestrial LiDAR technologies to enhance survey accuracy and efficiency (familiarity with LiDAR systems preferred).

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with AutoCAD in Land Surveying and Engineering.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule outside of standard weekday business hours, as needed to meet project deadlines and business needs.
