Job description

The CAD Operator will support projects focused on Fire Alarm and Electrical Systems through detailed drafting, design review, and code compliance. This role involves utilizing AutoCAD and other design software to create and manage technical documents while occasionally supporting field installation activities and site visits.

Responsibilities

  • Create and revise CAD drawings for Fire Alarm and Electrical Systems
  • Review designs to ensure compliance with local codes and standards
  • Manage technical documentation and coordinate revisions
  • Support field installation with technical expertise during site visits
  • Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam software for drafting and design tasks

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in CAD drafting
  • Knowledge of Fire Alarm design and local code requirements
