Job description

Cape Fox Tours is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to support the exciting area of Tours within Cape Fox Corporation. The Assistant Manager (AM) will provide support of management duties to the organization as needed or directed by the Cape Fox Tours (CFT) General Manager. The AM will work with the General Manager and staff to complete tasks and assignments.

The AM will assist the General Manager with the general supervision of all tour and retail supervisory staff. The annual salary range for this exempt position is: $62,000 to $72,000. The above salary range represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting.

In addition, we offer a variety of benefits, including company holidays, paid time off, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, as well as a 401K with company match. This job will be posted until filled or withdrawn. The Assistant Manager should have knowledge of commonly used Company concepts, practices, and procedures within the organization and contracts.

The Assistant Manager will rely on instructions and pre-established, commonly known guidelines provided to perform the functions of the position. With Cape Fox Tours General Manager written approval, process and collect all required new hire paperwork and submit to Cape Fox Human Resources within two days of hire. Process state work permits.

Work with CFT General Manager to coordinate and schedule staff members. Assist the General Manager with general supervision of all tour and retail supervisory staff. Assist the General Manager with receiving inventory and training staff members.

Assist with store opening and closing procedures. Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills. Work a variable work schedule.

Assist with training Cape Fox Tours employees in various aspects of their job. Assist General Manager with building strong relationships within the community and with local officials, businesses, and customers. Interface professionally with all levels of management and communicate effectively.

Assist the General Manager with development of operational policies and standard operating procedures as well as job descriptions. Assist customers/staff/volunteers/visitors as related to tours and retail. Collaborate with Cape Fox Tours General Manager to foster an operating environment that promotes and ensures consistent guest satisfaction and assists with resolving identified complaints or comments from customers.

Utilize knowledge of Company Policies and Procedures.Minimum of two (2) years of full-service management experience required. At least 5 years of hospitality, customer service & tours experience Two-year college degree, or equivalent experience required. Valid Driver's License and good driving record required Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
