We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Lab Assistant to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to our quality assurance and control processes within a dynamic and innovative environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our testing procedures, supporting our commitment to high-quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:

- Execute essential QA and QC functions with minimal supervision, ensuring compliance with established standards.

- Follow available Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for quality assurance and quality control activities.

- Conduct routine QA assessments within the Insectary and Production processes to verify quality parameters.

- Manage day-to-day setup and evaluation of routine QC assessments, including insect bioassays, viscosity, pH, and specific gravity measurements.

- Participate in team meetings, sharing results and insights from QA/QC assessments to support continuous improvement.

- Maintain accurate, detailed records of all QA and QC activities.

- Ensure timely and precise entry of QA and QC data into digital databases and documentation systems.

- Provide basic technical or non-technical support to department personnel as needed.

- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of laboratory equipment, supporting a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a laboratory or quality control environment is advantageous. 
  • Ability to follow SOPs and work independently with minimal supervision. 
  • Proficiency in data entry and familiarity with digital data management systems. 
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team. 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Fine Motor skills for handling small instruments, pipetting, and precise and steady hand movements.
  • Able to lift up to 30lbs if necessary
  • Manual dexterity
  • Visual demand may include periods of time spent looking through microscopes, analyzing data on computer screens, and examining fine details.
