Job description

Salary: $20-$26

Medical Laboratory Technician to work as testing personnel in a Physician Office Toxicology Laboratory.

The testing personnel will be responsible for accuracy and reporting of results in the application of principles, theories, and techniques as defined by CLIA and COLA. Ensures all daily QC are acceptable before releasing patient results.

Must adhere to the laboratorys quality control and quality assurance policies. Perform and document maintenance and function checks on electronic equipment. Perform calibration of mechanical equipment necessary for proper test performance. Processes patient urine drug samples for in-house and referral testing. Responsible for recording of temperatures and daily functions checks. Maintains proper inventory of supplies and reagents. Must have computer proficiency. Will also perform other duties assigned by the Technical Consultant and/or Laboratory Director for the Lab.

Candidate must be detailed oriented, works well independently, and be able to interact effectively in team-oriented environment. This position reports under the guidance of our Technical Consultant for lab specific related duties, and directly to the Laboratory Director for general inquiries and needs.

Education/Experience/Licensure/Certifications

  • Minimum required education: High School Diploma (must be able to show proof)
  • MLT, preferred
  • AA degree in laboratory science preferred
  • Minimum of 1 years experience working in a moderate complexity clinical laboratory preferred.
