Job description

Title: Computer Support (Infrastructure Engineer)

Pay Rate: $27 per hour

Location: Ankeny, IA, 50023

Duration: 12 months

Type – W2 contract (No C2C)


** Visa sponsorship is not available, now or in the near future, for this position**

NOTES:

1st shift (7am – 3:30pm with flex start am) with minimal overtime

50% desk work and 50% shop floor

Use of Deere Gator to get around the facility

Metatarsals are required on the first day

Business casual dress code

Candidates must be able to lift up to 25 lbs

This team supports a warehouse in Altoona and a lab in Ames in addition to their home base in Ankeny. The candidate will to drive to those locations on occasion (15- 30 mins one away), frequency is on an as-needed basis.


Computer Support Technician

What You'll Do

• Deploy, configure, and support PCs, printers, scanners, and network equipment

• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues

• Manage support requests through ServiceNow

• Assist with IT projects, upgrades, and technology rollouts

• Maintain asset inventory and equipment records

• Support printer maintenance and asset disposal

• Identify opportunities to improve processes and user experience


What We're Looking For

• Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking fundamentals

• Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills

• Experience with Microsoft Office and standard business applications

• Understanding of basic cybersecurity concepts

• 1+ year of IT experience preferred (recent graduates encouraged to apply)

• Familiarity with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT is a plus

• Exposure to scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python, VBA, etc.) is a plus
