Job description

Enjoy a rewarding career at CentraCare as a Lab Assistant! Our communities count on us every day, and our employees are dedicated to serving Central Minnesotans. In this support role, you'll collect blood samples, foster patient trust, and perform low complexity testing and culture set-up. Ideal candidates include students, those with patient care backgrounds, and individuals with some lab experience. Join us and make a difference in our community!

Schedule Details:

  • Full-time | 72 hours every two weeks

  • Monday - Friday

  • Day shift, working between 7am - 5:30pm

    • 8-hour shifts with start and end times varying

  • On-site position at CentraCare Big Lake

    • Position will float to other clinic sites routinely for approximately 50-75% travel


Pay and Benefits:

  • Starting pay $19.15 per hour, exact wage determined by years of related experience

    • Salary range: $19.15-28.71

  • Tuition reimbursement and college grant programs available


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
    • Must be able to be verified within 30-days of hire
  • Transportation available for off-campus laboratory related activities required
  • A valid driver's license, a driving record in good standing, and the minimum amount of liability insurance coverage may be required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer skills required
  • Prior experience in a Phlebotomist, Lab Assistant, or similar role preferred
  • Graduate from or in the process of pursing a degree in laboratory or medicine related program preferred
