Job description

We are seeking Lab Associate to join IQVIA Laboratories at Durham, NC.

Job Summary:
As a Lab Associate, you will perform routine testing procedures to generate accurate data for use in clinical trials research. You will support laboratory operations by following SOPs, documenting results, maintaining sample and reagent storage, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Perform routine analysis of specimens and document results in accordance with SOPs and applicable regulatory guidelines
  • Evaluate the validity of analytical results against algorithms displayed by the laboratory computer system
  • Identify and document potential performance errors or unusual results and escalate them to senior lab personnel
  • Prepare buffers and solutions for analysis, as required
  • Support post-analysis sample and reagent storage
  • Assist in the development and writing of new laboratory procedures and techniques
  • Maintain good housekeeping in the laboratory environment consistent with 6S standards
  • Support safety, quality, continuing education, and compliance with company procedures and applicable regulatory requirements
What We Are Looking For:
  • Bachelor's Degree required; some CAP/CLIA lab locations may require a BS in chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology degree
  • 6 months relevant lab experience
  • Basic knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and applicable regulatory agency standards
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety and infection control procedures and practices, including standard precautions and hazardous chemical handling
  • Knowledge of laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and terminology used in the area of responsibility
  • Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
  • Applicable certifications and licenses as required by country, state, and/or other regulatory bodies

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $35,900.00 - $74,800.00.
