Description:


• Teach lab courses in Adult Echo and other sonography-related topics.

• Use a variety of teaching methods (lectures, interactive sessions, case studies)

• Demonstrate proper scanning techniques and protocols.

• Supervise students during practice sessions on ultrasound equipment.

• Provide real-time feedback and correction on scanning techniques.

• Assist in developing and updating course materials, lesson plans, and instructional content.

• Ensure alignment with COE standards.

• Create, administer, and grade exams, practicals, and assignments.

• Monitor student progress and provide academic counseling when necessary.

• Offer constructive feedback on scanning techniques and academic performance.

• Serve as a mentor and role model for professionalism and clinical ethics.

• Keep accurate records of attendance, grades, and evaluations.

• Submit required reports and documentation in a timely manner.

• Follow institutional and accrediting body standards and policies.

• Assist with program reviews and accreditation preparation.

• Attend conferences, workshops, or continuing education courses.

• Stay updated with new ultrasound technology and scanning protocols.

• Participate in faculty meetings, program planning, and curriculum review.

• Will report to the Program Director to improve quality of instruction, curriculum, and other academic requirements.

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience:


• Associates degree (Required)

• At least two years of clinical experience (Required)

• RDCS certification through ARDMS or RCS through CCI (Required)

Physical Demands:


While performing the duties of this Job, the Lab Assistant is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The Lab Assistant must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
