Description:
Involved with registration, collection, processing and quality control of specimens, receives and instructs patients, processes lab orders and distributes laboratory reports.
Status: Full Time- 40 hrs per week
Shift: varied hours: 6a am to 6 pm
What you will need:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Phlebotomy training certification preferred.
  • Experience preferred.
  • Proficient use of computers.

What you will do:
  • Collect blood samples from patients.
  • Accurately identify, lab transfer and process specimens.
  • Receives and instructs patients, nurses, staff physicians, doctor's offices regarding proper collection of specimens and laboratory reports, procedures and other lab information.
  • Receives and instructs patients, interprets physician's orders, enters orders into lab computer system and schedules appointments.
