Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Lab Assistant. In this role, you will provide essential support to our laboratory operations by assisting with various tasks and ensuring the smooth functioning of our laboratory environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist laboratory staff with routine tasks such as sample preparation, equipment setup, and data entry
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laboratory by cleaning equipment, washing glassware, and disposing of waste materials properly
  • Prepare and sterilize laboratory materials and equipment as needed
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all lab personnel
  • Keep accurate records of experiments, test results, and inventory levels
  • Assist in the calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment
  • Monitor inventory levels of laboratory supplies and alert management when replenishment is needed
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and resolve problems as they arise
  • Participate in training sessions to expand knowledge and skills in laboratory techniques and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned by laboratory management
  • Additional tasks may be assigned at any time by the supervisor

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of lab assistance experience preferred
  • High school diploma required
  • Previous experience working in a laboratory setting is preferred but not required
