Job description

The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD, known as "The HARRIS CENTER," is seeking an experienced Senior HRIS Compensation Analsyt tojoin our team. The Senior HRIS Compensation Analyst serves as a senior technical and analytical resource supporting The Harris Center's Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), compensation programs, reporting, and workforce analytics. The role maintains HR system data, supports reporting and process controls, conducts compensation analysis, assists with market pricing and job documentation, and partners with Human Resources, Payroll, Information Technology, Finance, and operational leaders to improve data integrity, process efficiency, and decision-making. The position helps ensure compensation programs and HR systems are administered accurately, securely, consistently, and in compliance with applicable requirements.

Your role in action:

  • Provides day-to-day analytical support for compensation, HRIS, and workforce data initiatives.
  • Manages and supports HRIS reporting, data maintenance, workflow review, testing, security coordination, and functional optimization for assigned HR systems and applications.
  • Maintains data integrity through recurring audits, reconciliations, exception reporting, validation rules, and documented correction processes.
  • Develops, validates, and distributes recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, data extracts, and workforce analytics for Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, leadership, compliance, and operational needs.
  • Conducts job analysis and market pricing activities to support job evaluation, salary administration, pay range maintenance, and compensation program decisions.
  • Maintains compensation documentation including job descriptions, survey benchmarks, FLSA classifications, pay grades, salary ranges, and supporting analytical materials.
  • Participates in salary surveys and assists with annual compensation reviews, market studies, reclassification requests, and special compensation projects.
  • Maintains compensation processes such as job description review, pay analyses, workforce planning analytics, and compensation recommendations.
  • Monitors and maintains HRIS interfaces, integrations, and data feeds with internal or third-party applications and assists in troubleshooting issues and error resolution.
  • Partners with HR, Payroll, IT, Finance, vendors, and operational stakeholders to define requirements, improve processes, automate manual tasks, and enhance data quality and reporting capabilities.
  • Performs testing and validation for system updates, report changes, workflow changes, security updates, compensation system changes, and user acceptance activities prior to implementation.
  • Documents system configurations, report logic, data definitions, compensation methodologies, assumptions, testing results, and change controls.
  • Provides end-user training, job aids, technical support, and guidance regarding HR systems, compensation processes, and reporting tools.
  • Protects confidential employee, compensation, and organizational information and maintains appropriate security controls, access standards, and audit documentation.
  • Identifies process gaps, data risks, control weaknesses, and opportunities for operational improvement; escalates significant issues with recommendations for resolution.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education :

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, Finance, Analytics, Computer Science, Public Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred: UKG/Kronos, HRIS, HR Analytics, Compensation, SHRM, HRCI, SQL, reporting, project management, or related certification

Experience:

  • Minimum five years of related experience in compensation, HRIS, human resources analytics, workforce reporting, payroll systems, financial analysis, or similar analytical roles.
  • Experience supporting HR systems, compensation programs, reporting, job evaluations, data governance, workforce analytics, and process improvement initiatives is preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, public sector, or complex multi-job-family environments is preferred.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, reporting, and data validation.
  • Knowledge of compensation principles, job evaluation, market pricing, salary structures, pay administration, and FLSA concepts.
  • Working knowledge of HRIS systems, reporting tools, system configuration, testing, security, workflows, and HR data management.
  • Experience with HR, payroll, compensation, benefits, timekeeping, and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Ability to collect, validate, analyze, and interpret complex data from multiple sources.
  • Ability to prepare reports, dashboards, presentations, and recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation, audit controls, and process compliance.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong confidentiality, judgment, customer service, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with UKG/Kronos Workforce Dimensions, Business Intelligence tools, SQL, or advanced reporting platforms preferred.
