Purpose of Job :
The HRIS Analyst supports team members across multiple locations by serving as the subject matter expert for HRIS platforms, troubleshooting system issues and providing timely, effective resolutions. This role maintains data integrity across all HR systems, conducts thorough testing of system changes and enhancements, and develops reports and analytics that support informed decision-making. By identifying process improvement opportunities and partnering with HR and IT stakeholders, this role helps drive the ongoing optimization of HR processes and systems, ensuring the HRIS remains a reliable and strategic tool for the organization.
Job Components:
  • Serve as the primary support resource for Workday, providing first-line and escalated support to HR and end users - researching and resolving system issues, unexpected results, and process flaws, and recommending solutions or alternative approaches to meet business requirements.
  • Lead the review, testing, and implementation of Workday releases, upgrades, and patches, including routine application testing, regression testing, and business process testing. Partner with functional and technical stakeholders to coordinate deployment, maintain system tables and configuration, and document processes and outcomes.
  • Act as the key liaison between HR and IT, translating business needs into technical requirements and leveraging Workday functionality to deliver scalable, efficient solutions for HR stakeholders and end users.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate HRIS business processes, driving continuous improvement in efficiency and user experience.
  • Provide project oversight from design through implementation for Workday initiatives - including integrations, configuration changes, and new module rollouts - covering requirements gathering, data mapping, testing, validation, and post-implementation support. Track, monitor, and communicate project risks, scope changes, and timelines to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Lead change management efforts for HR technology updates, including developing training materials and user communications, delivering training to end users and system administrators, and maintaining user procedures, job aids, and system documentation to support process adoption.
  • Design, build, and maintain Workday reports, calculated fields, and dashboards (e.g., custom, matrix, and composite reports) to meet ongoing business needs. Run audits and queries to proactively identify and correct data integrity issues.
  • Own end-to-end support for HR technology systems that integrate with Workday, including troubleshooting interface/integration errors and coordinating resolution with IT and third-party vendors.
  • Evaluate emerging HR technology needs and research or recommend Workday modules or third-party solutions to close functional gaps.
  • Provide cross-functional support to Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, and Onboarding teams on Workday-related processes, ensuring seamless data flow and system alignment across the employee lifecycle.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in HRIS, HR operations, people analytics, HR data analysis, HR technology, or a related field. Workday experience is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Experience supporting HRIS implementation, integration, migration, configuration, or optimization projects preferred.
  • Strong HR data analysis and reporting experience, including the ability to build dashboards, define metrics, identify trends, and translate data into actionable insights.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, lookups, conditional logic, data validation, data cleaning, and large data set analysis.
  • Experience with HR metrics such as headcount, turnover, retention, time-to-fill, recruiting funnel activity, offer acceptance, internal mobility, compensation data, and workforce demographics.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential data with care, ensuring compliance with appropriate security controls, data privacy standards, firm policies, and regulatory or industry requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines under minimal supervision.
