Education and Experience:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.  Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major course work in business, computer information systems, or a related field.  
  • Experience in systems support work preferred.  Education and experience may be substituted for one another
  • Must have valid TX driver's license and be insurable

Job Purpose:

  • Provides help desk customer service and answers user inquires regarding computer software, hardware operation, and the use and interface of systems and software applications
  • Provides operational assistance in the implementation and use of computer hardware and software
  • Assists in troubleshooting and resolving computer-related problems

Job Function:

  • Work involves operating automated office equipment such as personal computers, and other comparable equipment in either a stand-alone, network or server environment
  • Provides training to agency staff in the implementation and use of automated systems
  • Assists in inventory management of technology resources and assets
  • Assists in routine database activities, such as pulling data for reports and data entry
