Hardware Sales Associate (Full-Time)Position SummaryWe are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Hardware Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in hardware, lumber, paint, building materials, or construction-related products and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. This position is responsible for assisting customers, maintaining product knowledge, supporting sales growth, and ensuring the department remains clean, organized, and fully stocked.
 
Full-Time Position Only
Preferred Qualifications• Minimum 1–2 years of retail sales experience in Hardware, Lumber, Building Materials, Paint, or Construction Supply.
• Experience with Simpson Strong-Tie hardware products.
• Knowledge of fasteners, connectors, power tools, hand tools, paint products, and building materials.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service:
• Greet customers promptly and professionally.
• Assist customers in identifying products and solutions for their projects.
• Provide product recommendations and technical information.
• Build strong customer relationships through exceptional service.
Sales & Product Knowledge:
• Maintain strong knowledge of hardware, lumber, paint, Simpson Strong-Tie products, and building materials.
• Support department sales goals and identify opportunities for add-on sales.
Inventory & Merchandising:
• Stock shelves and maintain displays.
• Ensure merchandise is properly priced and labeled.
• Assist with inventory counts and audits.
Store Maintenance:
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Assist with receiving, stocking, and replenishment activities.
Teamwork:
• Work collaboratively with team members and management.
• Assist other departments when needed.Physical Requirements• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors as needed.Skills & Competencies

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic computer and point-of-sale knowledge.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
