About the Role
We are looking for a BIM/VDC Engineer to join our Virtual Design & Construction team on our project in Mooresville, IN. This is a full-time, in-person position.
Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate problem solving using technology and collaboration with project teams, both internal and external
  • Coordinate workload for one or more projects with VDC Manager(s)
  • Manage modeling efforts and deliverables to solve construction issues
  • Understand and contribute to the VDC coordination schedule by tracking responsibilities and providing progress updates
  • Identify and facilitate resolution of coordination conflicts using clash detection in Navisworks
  • Lead clash resolution and coordination meetings, ensuring all items are completed
  • Use modeling best practices and company standards to produce accurate models
  • Conduct quality reviews of modeled scope from others and confirm compliance with contract documents
  • Apply concepts from training sessions and lessons learned to facilitate project coordination
  • Understand and implement VDC services in accordance with standards and best practices
  • Contribute to VDC goals and company initiatives

Qualifications
Required:
  • 0-4 years of BIM/VDC experience working on commercial construction projects
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Computer Graphics, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Willingness to relocate and travel
  • Willingness to learn, grow, and further develop relevant professional skills
  • Knowledge of 3D modeling and coordination tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment as well as independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and other applicable tools
  • Understanding of contract documents, drawings, specifications, and project schedules
  • Basic understanding of the construction management process (RFIs, Submittals, Shop Drawings)

Preferred:
  • Outstanding communication and time management skills
  • Experience applying VDC best practices on large-scale projects
