Job description

Find your calling at Mercy!Supervises the Respiratory and Imaging GIG workforces to ensure care is delivered in a safe, quality approach following all policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines. Develops staff and encourages staff adherence to hospital policy. Assists in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the operations, technique and technology to ensure appropriate patient care. Works collaboratively with the healthcare team with open communication; serving as a clinical resource for coworkers, patients and visitors. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.Position Details:

Minimum Required Qualifications
Education: Graduate from an Accredited College Program in Respiratory Care.
Licensure: Must have a current license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in the state of practice.
Experience: Five or more years of experience.
Certification/Registration: Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care; BLS (may obtain upon hire). May substitute RRT with 10 years of leadership experience and Certified as a Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by the NBRC.
Other Skills and Knowledge: Strength in Interpersonal skills and conflict resolution. Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills, ability to be flexible and adaptable. Must possess the skills and judgment necessary to implement medical plan of care, clinical interventions and procedures as needed for the care of the patient.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care or related field preferred.
Experience: One year of leadership experience strongly preferred.
Certification/Registration: ACLS, NRP, PALS (may obtain upon hire if needed); ACCS (Adult Critical Care Specialist from the NBRC); NPS (Neonatal Specialist from the NBRC).
Other Skills and Knowledge: computer literacy in Microsoft Office tools like Outlook, Word, and Excel.
