908 Devices has a corporate office in Burlington, MA with a manufacturing center in Danbury, Connecticut and a growing population of remote staff worldwide.

Position

As an Assembly and Test Technician, Your primary responsibility will be assembly and test of our handheld Field Forensics products. Your daily tasks will include producing and evaluating our MX908, ProtectIR, ExplorIR and ThreatID products, following defined procedures and work instructions. In addition, some documentation, data entry and preparation of test and quality reports will be required. The position will also require some visual inspection and quality assurance sampling measurements. You will work with the Manufacturing Engineering team to trouble-shoot production issues and assist in continuous improvement of assembly and test processes.

We strongly value hard work, focus and attention to detail, and we foster an extremely collaborative environment, but also seek candidates able to work effectively with minimal supervision.

This position is 40hrs/week, located in Danbury, CT

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and test our handheld Field Forensics products.
  • Producing and evaluating our MX908, ProtectIR, ExplorIR and ThreatID products.
  • Following defined procedures and work instructions.
  • Preparation of data including test and quality reports.
  • Visual inspection and quality assurance sampling.
  • Trouble-shooting production issues and assisting in continuous improvement of assembly and test processes.
  • Working closely with the Manufacturing Engineering team.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Education Level: Associates Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Technology or similar preferred.
  • >2 years of experience in manufacturing test environment.
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions and multi-task.
  • Good organization, and strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with using basic lab equipment such as digital multimeters, power supplies, stereomicroscopes, torque tools, pin gauges, etc.
  • Reliable, hard-working, and ability to work independently.
  • Computer literate, comfortable with electronic documentation.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good time management skills.

Additional Information

  • Location: This position is fulltime, 40 hours/5 days per week, onsite at our Danbury, CT facility
  • Compensation: The hourly base pay range for this position at the commencement of employment is expected to be between $22.00 and $24.00 per hour; the base pay offered may vary depending on several individualized factors, including market location, job-related skills, and experience. This position may also be eligible to receive additional long-term incentives.
